The aim of HyBReED (Hydrogen/Battery based Resilient Chemical Energy Storage Development) is to develop and integrate innovative hydrogen technologies that can contribute to renewable energy production and storage. To achieve the target, the consortium brings together partners from hydrogen applications, batteries and the twin transition of the economy.
In order to achieve the above objective, the programme contains the following components and structures:
- Development of methods for efficient production, storage and use of hydrogen (plans and reports)
- Development of better system components for energy devices that can be integrated into the existing energy grid (prototype batteries, catalysts and pumps)
- Explore the potential of using hydrogen as an energy carrier in energy-intensive industries (reports and protocols)
- Ensure the longevity of energy devices by developing hydrogen resistant materials (development of guidelines)
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the technical, economic and environmental factors related to the production, storage and use of hydrogen (models and simulations).
